Giving baby up for adoption is a choice that you can make at any time whether you decide to early on in your pregnancy, in the hospital before you give birth, and after you have given birth to your baby.

You Have Options After The Birth Of Your Baby

It is important for you and other birth mothers to know the options you have after you have given birth to your baby. An adoption is always an option for you. We are also a baby safe haven if you wish to leave your baby with us. In order to leave your baby with us, he or she has to be seventy-two hours old or less and unharmed. When it comes to the adoption process, you will go through the same steps as if you decide on adoption early on in your pregnancy.

The Adoption Process In Oklahoma For After Birth Adoptions

At Adoption Choices of Oklahoma, we will assign one of our adoption caseworkers to you. They will provide you with all the information you need to get your adoption started. Next, you will be able to look at adoptive families and parents. You can always request other families and parents as well. The families and parents we have been waiting for have all gone through extensive background checks as well. Once you decide on what adoptive family or parent you want to work with, you can decide what kind of Oklahoma adoption plan you want to have. You can choose from open, semi-open, and closed adoption plans. Here at Adoption Choices of Oklahoma, we want you to have your ideal adoption plan, so if at any time you want to change what type of plan you have, you can. The final step is setting up the type of communication you want to have with your baby and the adoptive family. After you decide what type of communication you want, your adoption plan will be complete, and your baby will go to the adoptive family or parent.
